QUAKER FLOUR MILL/ ABEL ENGINEERING
National Register 09/30/1976, 5PE.496
Built 1869. Although not absolutely proven, the Quaker Flour Mill can make a strong claim as being the oldest building still standing in Pueblo. Even after the 128 yrs. of its existence, it is still in excellent condition. Over the years, the original four story sandstone building, constructed in 1869 as a four story structure for use as a flour mill, has experienced numerous alterations and additions to accommodate the business needs of subsequent owners.
