What is a Resourced Property?
A Resourced Property is simply a home or business that has purchased a Resource Plaque (image to the right). There are no restrictions to having a Resource Plaque except that the property must be at least 50 years old, and the property owner must be able to prove the year that the property was built. Generally the Pueblo County Assessor’s Office has accurate information after 1910. If the home was built prior to 1910, some additional information may be required.
The plaque can be displayed on the exterior of the home to help enhance the appreciation of older homes and the historical aspects of Pueblo. The cost is $175 and includes a complimentary one-year membership in Historic Pueblo, Inc. There is a simple one-page application to be filled out documenting the age of the home and historic significance, if any. Being a part of the program does not limit the homeowner's ability to alter the property. For ordering information download and mail us the Resource Plaque Application which can be found under the HOW TO RESEARCH YOUR HOME tab.
